Yandex has updated the "Yandex Go" service. The innovations will allow users to pay for travel on buses, trolleybuses and trams in the company's application.
Now you can buy a ticket by scanning the QR code placed on the transport, or by connecting to Bluetooth beacons installed in the cabin. To pay via Bluetooth, users need to enable this function on their smartphone, select their transport in the "Transport" section and confirm the payment. Both methods ensure accurate selection of the desired vehicle and convenient fare payment.
You don't have to link a bank card directly before payment - the money will be debited from the one previously used in other application services. Therefore, a passenger will be able to pay for travel on transport from a smartphone through the usual application, even if he forgot his wallet or bank card at home. The purchased ticket will be saved in the "My ticket" section in the application.
This function will complement other urban services of the application. Within two weeks, fare payment in the application will be available in Yaroslavl, and later in other cities.
