MTS has decided to shut down the Nuum video hosting service. The domestic alternative to YouTube and TikTok lasted less than two years.
The platform will continue to operate until June 1st of this year. This time is given to users to upload content.
Nuum was launched in December 2023. The official reason for closing the service remains unknown. However, various restrictions were recorded during the platform's operation (disabling donations and monetization).
Nuum's technological infrastructure will be transferred to the MTS AdTech division. In the future, it is planned to use it to create an advertising network of video banners. The Nuum engine will be used to promote products on marketplaces in the formats of "stories" and "reels."
