Crews of the coastal missile systems (BRK) «Bastion» of the Northern Fleet practiced tasks to destroy a detachment of ships of a conditional enemy with supersonic anti-ship missiles «Onyx» from the coast of the Kaliningrad region.
Servicemen of the coastal missile unit of the Baltic naval base practiced the destruction of a detachment of warships of the «enemy» in the Baltic Sea with «Bastion» complexes.
The department noted that mobile launchers, having marched to the designated area, were deployed in pre-equipped positions.
After detecting the target, on command from the control point, the combat crews of the «Bastions» practiced the algorithm of actions for launching missile strikes, the Ministry of Defense added, specifying that the missile firings were carried out electronically.
«Bastion» is designed to protect a sea coast with a length of over 600 km and to engage surface ships of various classes. «Onyx» missiles fly at high speed and low altitude, so they are difficult to detect and shoot down.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Su-30SM2 fighters and Su-24M bombers practiced strikes against warships in the Baltic.
