Опасные коды: как мошенники крадут SIM-карты прямо во время телефонного звонка

Fraudsters Demand to Dial a Special Code for "Network Check"

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has uncovered a fraudulent scheme through which attackers gain access to a citizen's SIM card and mobile bank.

According to the agency, fraudsters call the victim, posing as mobile operator engineers, and state the need to check the telephone line. The scammers then ask to dial a specific combination of numbers and symbols – for example, #90 or #09.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes that in no case should you enter the proposed combinations, as this may give attackers access to the SIM card. As a result, they will be able to make calls at the owner's expense, as well as gain access to the mobile bank. If you receive such calls, you should immediately end the conversation.
