An experimental model of the first stage of the Soyuz-5 was sent to the Scientific Testing Center of the Rocket and Space Industry for cold and hot stand tests. This was reported by the press service of the Roscosmos State Corporation.
This is one of the stages of ground-based experimental development and, at the same time, a significant step in the production of a new generation launch vehicle.
Earlier, Roscosmos specialists carried out a cycle of ground-based experimental development of fuel and oxidizer tanks included in the first stage of the Soyuz-5.
The launch of Soyuz-5 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome will be carried out at the end of 2025. This promising launch vehicle is designed to launch satellites of various classes into low and medium Earth orbits. It is also planned to be used in future manned space flights to the ISS.
