Lada Iskra, the production launch of which is scheduled for April 19, 2025, has successfully passed a comprehensive set of factory and certification tests, proving the reliability of the design and the high quality of production technologies.
To pass the tests, 98 prototypes of Lada Iskra in various modifications were manufactured. Tests on roads and off-road were carried out at the AvtoVAZ's own test site, as well as in mountainous and northern regions.
Lada is the only brand in Russia that tests its cars on real roads in the country, including various types of surfaces — from perfect asphalt to broken dirt roads, as clarified in the press service. This approach allows to adapt the car as much as possible to the operating conditions and ensure its high reliability.
Tests in laboratory conditions included both car tests and bench tests of its components and systems. An aerodynamic tunnel, an anechoic chamber for vibroacoustic tests, an electromagnetic compatibility laboratory and an aeroclimatic chamber were used.
In the process of refining the Lada Iskra model, specialists were able to achieve excellent handling characteristics and adaptation to the conditions of the Russian climate, as well as reduce wind noise, improve the sound quality of the audio system and ensure stable operation of the communication system.
In the process of working on the car's design, engineers paid special attention to its handling, adaptability to Russian climatic conditions, as well as the level of aerodynamic noise. In addition, they optimized the sound quality of the audio system and ensured the stability of the telephone communication system.
Lada Iskra demonstrates a significant superiority over national safety requirements, AvtoVAZ emphasized. In addition, crash tests were carried out according to independent programs, during which Iskra showed results comparable to Lada Vesta and foreign analogues of the budget B-class.
Lada Iskra is a car that guarantees a high level of safety for both the driver and passengers, the company's press service noted. It provides confidence on the road in all conditions. The standard equipment includes an electronic stability control system (ESC), an anti-lock braking system (ABS), two airbags and other functions.
The car, created on the basis of a localized platform, is designed to take a place in the market between the Lada Granta and Lada Vesta families, offering customers a wide selection of bodies: sedan, station wagon and Cross station wagon.
The range of power units includes 1.6-liter LADA engines, which will be combined with a 5- or 6-speed manual gearbox, as well as a continuously variable "automatic".
There is less and less time left before the start of mass production of Lada Iskra, and more and more photos of this car appear on the Internet. This time, a sedan in the maximum configuration and in the color "Platinum" came into the lens.
