Project 1234.1 Ovod-class ship to practice training course tasks

The small missile ship (MRK) " рассвет " of the Northern Fleet, Project 1234.1 "Ovod", has entered the Barents Sea to practice combat training tasks, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

At sea, the ship's crew will practice combat and daily organization, and conduct a series of intra-ship exercises as part of the elements of the course task.

A few days earlier, the crew of " рассвет " worked out issues related to the preparation of the ship at the base and the admission of the ship to go to sea.

The MRK " рассвет " is designed to combat the warships of a potential enemy in closed seas and in the near ocean zone. The ship is armed with P-120 Malachite missiles and the Osa-MA2 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM).
