Calculations of the 152-mm divisional self-propelled howitzer 2S19 "Msta-S" for the 100% destruction of targets use the high-precision ammunition "Krasnopol M2". The projectile comes complete with a standard full charge for the 2S19 howitzer, said gun commander Marat Sultanov.
According to him, the system is used in conjunction with the Orlan-30 reconnaissance drone. The probability of hitting a target is 100% with a firing range of up to 20 km.
We mainly work from a disguised position now. It takes less than a minute to shoot. Maybe even less in some moments. If we start working inside - sighting, then it's all done very quickly.
The battery commander also noted the cross-country ability, maneuverability and rate of fire as the main advantages of the self-propelled artillery unit over foreign counterparts of the enemy. This advantage is due to the installation of the gun on the chassis of the T-72 tank.
