Kamaz K5 Competitor to be Equipped with Russian Engine: "Valdai 45" to Receive YaMZ-770 Engine

The new power unit will replace the Chinese version

The company "Nizhny Novgorod Trucks" will equip the "Valdai 45" with a Russian YaMZ-770 engine. The semi-trailer truck with the new unit has already begun testing.

Currently, the "Valdai 45" operates on Chinese engines with a capacity of 470 hp and a robotic gearbox.

The 6-cylinder turbo diesel YaMZ-770 is also installed on Ural trucks, LiAZ buses, and other equipment. The volume of the power unit is 12.42 liters, and the new product can produce up to 620 hp and 3000 N∙m.
