3G в России «умирает»: операторы связи отказываются от устаревшей технологии в пользу LTE

Currently, only 0.1% of devices operate on 3G

The era of 3G is ending in Russia, with operators massively abandoning the use of the technology. This was announced by Sergey Anokhin, CEO of Beeline.

The mass disconnection of networks from 3G began last year. Currently, only 0.1% of devices operate on this technology without the possibility of switching to 4G.

The operator is now reconfiguring equipment for other frequency ranges. This phase has already been completed in Moscow and the Moscow region.

Beeline plans to completely convert 3G networks to LTE in 15 regions of the country by the end of 2025. The transition will be partial in another 18 regions of Russia.
