Small anti-submarine ships of the Northern Fleet "Snezhnogorsk" and "Yunga" of Project 1124M "Albatross" practiced attacking a mock enemy submarine using standard weapons in the Barents Sea.
The ships also performed a maneuver to evade a torpedo attack by a submarine, and then conducted practical torpedo firing and depth bombing from RBU-6000 reactive depth charge launchers.
In addition, the naval sailors used the ship's sonar weapons, performing anti-submarine maneuvering at various courses and speeds.
MPK Project 1124 "Albatross" are designed to search for, detect, classify and destroy submarines in the coastal and near sea zone. They are also armed with two 533-mm torpedo tubes, AK-176 and AK-630 artillery mounts, as well as the Osa-MA anti-aircraft missile system.
