A detachment of Pacific Fleet ships, consisting of the corvettes "Aldar Tsydenzhapov" and "Rezkiy" of Project 20380, as well as the tanker "Pechenga," will arrive in the Iranian port of Chabahar on March 9.
The warships will participate in the trilateral naval exercise "Maritime Security Belt–2025," which will take place from March 10 to 13 in the northern Indian Ocean.
Project 20380 corvettes are designed to destroy enemy submarines and surface ships, solve various tasks in the near sea zone, and provide landing support.
The ships' armament includes launchers for "Uran" or "Caliber-NK" anti-ship missiles (depending on the ship's modification), an anti-aircraft missile system, artillery mounts, machine gun mounts, and grenade launchers. They have anti-torpedo and anti-submarine protection.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the unique self-propelled gun "Lotos" aims its gun at the target in a matter of seconds.
