Почти 3,6 млн россиян уже установили самозапрет на кредиты

This happened in the first five days since the launch of the new function on "Gosuslugi"

In Russia, there is a sharp increase in the number of Russians imposing a self-ban on loans. In the first five days of the new service on the portal "Gosuslugi," about 3.6 million Russians applied to limit lending. 91% of them (approximately 3.4 million) chose a complete ban on applying for loans, according to the United Credit Bureau.

The largest number of self-bans was registered in Moscow — 407 thousand, as well as in the Moscow Region — 262 thousand and St. Petersburg — 185 thousand. In other regions, such as Bashkiria and the Sverdlovsk region, significant figures have also been recorded, which highlights the all-Russian trend.

The self-ban service, launched on March 1, 2025, allows citizens to set restrictions on all types of consumer loans and borrowings. A note about the self-ban appears in the credit history of applicants. This obliges banks and microfinance organizations to refuse to issue loans. Citizens can at any time remove the restriction by submitting a corresponding application on the "Gosuslugi" portal using an electronic signature.

These measures indicate the growing financial caution of Russians in the face of an unstable economic situation.
