The Minsk Tractor Works (OJSC "MTZ") is assembling the first BELARUS-5022 tractor with a capacity of 500 "horsepower". This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian enterprise.
The power structure is already fully ready, the engine unit, hydraulics, and electrical equipment are being assembled.
The prototype of the BELARUS-5022 wheeled tractor was first presented in 2018. At that time, the most powerful machine in the MTZ line was the BELARUS-4522, equipped with an American Caterpillar engine.
The management of the Minsk plant decided that the new tractor would need a more reliable transmission. In addition, other important components were improved for the BELARUS-5022.

- Manual transmission (16 forward speeds and 8 reverse)
- Forward speed 3.4-38 km/h
- Reverse speed — 2.9-16 km/h
- Fuel tank for 650 l
- Lifting capacity of the rear hitch — 11.5 t
