Moscow has become the European leader in terms of the number of electric vehicles. In total, more than 2,300 electric buses of Russian production have been brought to the capital since 2018. This was announced by the head of the Moscow Department of Transport, Maxim Liksutov.

Currently, environmentally friendly transport runs on more than 180 routes (over 20% of all routes in the capital). By 2035, almost the entire Mosgortrans fleet will run on electric traction.

Since 2018, 650 million trips have been made on electric buses. On a weekday, they are used on average more than 900 thousand times.
