AvtoVAZ has planned to modernize the Lada Niva this year. The car will receive a new 1.8-liter engine with a capacity of 90 hp. It will replace the outdated 1.7-liter engine from "Zhiguli". This was announced by the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov.
The characteristics will be selected in such a way that the unit produces more torque at low revs.
The SUV will also receive an updated transfer case control system with one lever instead of two, as in the Lada Niva Sport.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the new Lada Niva Legend has become better at braking and accelerating.
