The Russian aerospace company "Bureau 1440", part of the "ICS Holding" group, has launched its own automated production of solar panels designed for spacecraft. The new line will allow the annual production of solar panels with a total capacity of more than 750 kilowatts, which will be an important step in the development of the domestic space industry.
On the way to building a low-orbit constellation, we are creating our own automated production of solar panels. The total capacity of the site will be over 750,000 W of space-grade batteries per year, and the production line can be adapted to changes in product design and new technologies.
The creation of our own production is dictated by the need to provide each satellite with energy throughout its entire service life as part of the creation of a multi-satellite system. Solar panels are the main source of energy in space.
Engineers at "Bureau 1440" have developed a unique technology that allows the use of industrial-grade components in orbit thanks to modern production solutions.
Solar panels from BUREAU 1440 have already demonstrated excellent strength and resistance to space conditions during the first two missions. Their expected service life in open space is at least five years, and the power of each battery reaches almost 4000 W.
