The Simbirsk Design Bureau (SKB) "Piranha" has developed and successfully tested a multifunctional reconnaissance drone with the ability to relay signals, the "Owl-13", which allows the military to independently change frequencies to the necessary ones right before a combat sortie.
The main advantage of the drone is its modularity. Thanks to this, after selecting a specific frequency, a fighter can independently remove the video transmitter, camera, antennas and replace them with any necessary frequency directly before a combat sortie.
The drone is equipped with a digital camera with stabilization. The digital video signal is converted to analog and fed directly to the operator's goggles. Despite the analog signal, the video quality is significantly higher than most similar solutions.
Also, the "Owl-13" can conduct reconnaissance for over an hour and a half and is capable of operating at standard frequencies of 5.8 GHz.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the "Forpost-RU" drone will receive small-sized radars for guiding "Calibers" and loitering munitions.
