The production of medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBM) "Oreshnik" and operational-tactical missile systems (OTRK) "Iskander-M" in Russia may be reduced if agreements are reached with the United States to reduce defense spending. This possibility was suggested by military expert Anatoly Matviychuk.

Matviychuk noted that nuclear powers need to agree on a sufficient amount of weapons to deter potential aggression.
The "Iskander-M" is used to destroy enemy air defense systems, as well as other important objects at a maximum range of up to 500 km.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the temperature on the warheads of the "Oreshnik" missiles is comparable to the temperature on the surface of the Sun.
