Details of the new six-speed manual transmission for Lada Vesta revealed: lifespan up to 500 thousand km and protection like on Kalina

Received a retaining ring and reverse gear synchronizer

The new modification of the Lada Vesta with a six-speed manual transmission uses "features" that car owners have seen on older AvtoVAZ models. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Avtopotok".

In particular, a retaining ring is used on the manual transmission lever, which prevents accidental engagement of reverse gear; similar protection was present on the Lada Kalina. In addition, the manual transmission uses a separate reverse gear synchronizer.

The "six-speed" on the new Vesta is designed for an input torque of 220 Nm, the estimated transmission life is about 500 thousand kilometers. For comparison, the native five-speed Lada manual transmissions have up to 170 Nm and up to 400 thousand km.

A few days ago, AvtoVAZ began deliveries of the Lada Vesta with a new six-speed manual transmission for the model.
