Reactive armor will remain one of the most effective means of protecting armored vehicles for a long time. This was stated by the press service of \"Uralvagonzavod\" (part of the Rostec State Corporation).
Work is continuously underway to increase the impact level of ERA on cumulative anti-tank weapons and to improve the survivability of ERA modules with a gradual transition to effective non-explosive structures.
T-72B3 and T-90M tanks are equipped with \"Relikt\" reactive armor (consisting of 4С23 elements). Thanks to its modular design, it is highly maintainable.
The \"Relikt\" reactive armor kit includes:
- upper frontal part module
- on the turret — 17 sections with 4С23 elements
- on the roof — 20 sections with 4С23 elements
- on the side screens — 6 sections with 4С23 elements
