Minefields installed by the Russian "Agriculture" system are virtually impossible to neutralize, according to Daniil Chekmarev, commander of an engineering barrier platoon.
According to him, the machine is capable of installing a minefield several kilometers wide in a short period of time.
It does it very simply and quickly. The mines are new, equipped with seismic and magnetic sensors. It is practically impossible to demine our minefields.
Depending on the task, the "Agriculture" calculations deliver both anti-personnel and anti-tank mines with cluster munitions. A mixed minefield can also be created. The system's operating range is from 5 to 15 km.
"Agriculture" is used to deter equipment and infantry, literally "sowing" territories with mines. This allows limiting retreat routes or slowing down the enemy's advance.
Characteristics of ISDM "Agriculture":
- Range — 5–15 km
- Ammunition load — 50 shells (2 blocks of 25 each)
- Caliber — 122 mm
- Complex composition — combat vehicle on an eight-wheeled armored KamAZ chassis, transport-charging vehicle and transport-launch containers with engineering ammunition
- Engineering ammunition — PTM (anti-tank mine), PPM (anti-personnel mine)
