Will it Become Elektronik or Gromozeka?: Unique BMPT "Terminator" May Get a Russian Name

"Uralvagonzavod" is Considering the Possibility of Renaming the Combat Vehicle

The tank support combat vehicle (BMPT) "Terminator" may change its name. This was reported by the Uralvagonzavod concern (part of the Rostec State Corporation).

The company noted that interest in the unusual vehicle of the Russian army is not waning. Experience of use on the line of combat contact has shown that such vehicles are very important on the battlefield and can be used both in conjunction with tanks and as an independent combat unit.

Along with the constant improvement of combat characteristics, another important change may occur with the BMPT — the "Terminator" may change its name to one more familiar to the Russian ear.
