"Avtozavod St. Petersburg" (formerly Nissan) plans to assemble only 6,500 Xcite crossovers in 2025. Production volumes will be reduced almost threefold compared to 2024. Back then, 16,500 cars rolled off the assembly line of the enterprise.
It was expected that the plant would be able to produce 25,000 cars in 2024. Then the number of cars was reduced to 20,000. But even these figures could not be achieved.
Sales of the Xcite brand in 2024 amounted to only 5,511 cars, which indicates serious problems with sales. Expert Sergei Tsyganov notes that the plant is "choking on unsold cars", and there is no free space left on the finished products site, which can accommodate 10,000 cars.
In the face of low demand, the automaker is forced to offer significant discounts on the Xcite X-Cross 7 and X-Cross 8 models, which reach 300,000 rubles. Credit offers are also available: the X-Cross 7 can be purchased for 11,500 rubles per month, and the X-Cross 8 in the Enjoy configuration for 13,500 rubles per month.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the former Nissan plant is not planning to release new products in 2025.
