Haval M6 crossover production launched in Kaluga

The first cars will go on sale in March

Serial production of Haval M6 crossovers has started at the "Automotive Technologies" plant in Kaluga. The company plans to switch to full-cycle production with local welding and painting of bodies in the second half of 2025.

Previously, the Haval M6 could not be produced at the Great Wall plant in the Tula region due to a lack of available capacity. Until 2022, the plant in Kaluga produced Peugeot, Citroen and Mitsubishi cars, but after these brands left, the company became "Automotive Technologies". Currently, the plant produces only the Citroen C5 Aircross.

In 2025, it is planned to produce 25,000 Haval cars in Kaluga. This car is popular in Russia — 2,307 cars were sold in January 2025 alone, and 38,000 of these crossovers were sold in 2024.

The Haval M6 is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 143 hp. In the basic configuration with a manual transmission, the model is offered for 2,179,000 rubles, and the version with a DCT robotic transmission will cost 2,299,000 rubles.

The first cars of the Kaluga assembly will be delivered to dealers in March.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the "Automotive Technologies" plant in Kaluga is preparing for the serial production of Haval M6.
