Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant conducted winter tests of diesel "UAZ Profi" cars in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. During the month-and-a-half program, each of the three tested cars covered over 15 thousand kilometers.
The main goals of the tests were to evaluate the effective start and driving qualities, calibrate electronic engine control systems, and check the operation of the OBD on-board diagnostics in low-temperature conditions, reaching −27 °C.
All systems worked without any complaints both directly during the tests and along the route from Ulyanovsk to Noyabrsk, with a length of about 2.5 thousand km, which all three cars covered on their own.
The tests were carried out both in urban conditions and on country roads, with various speed and temperature regimes, with and without load. The engines showed effective operation in low-temperature conditions, as well as the absence of jerks and "dips" when driving on an unheated engine.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UAZ "Patriot" will receive a 2.0-liter diesel engine and an "automatic".
