AvtoVAZ has announced the suspension of production for several models in the Lada Vesta family. Updated price lists for the cars already contain a "not produced" mark for many modifications, including popular versions. The reasons for this decision have not yet been disclosed.
Currently, the Lada Vesta sedan is only available with a 1.6-liter engine combined with a manual or CVT transmission, offering only the basic Comfort and Life trim levels. Prices for these models start at 1,525,000 rubles. The more expensive Enjoy and Techno trims, as well as versions with a 1.8-liter engine, have been discontinued.
The Lada Vesta wagon is also only available with a 1.6-liter engine in the second Life trim level with manual and CVT transmissions. The remaining trim levels and versions with a 1.8-liter engine are no longer produced.
The cross-wagon offers two options in the Life trim level: a model with a 1.6-liter engine and manual transmission (priced at 1,879,000 rubles) and a version with a 1.8-liter engine and CVT (1,954,000 rubles). The Lada Vesta Cross sedan has completely disappeared from the production program and is currently not being produced.
Representatives from AvtoVAZ are not commenting on the cessation of production of several Lada Vesta versions, and it is currently unknown when these models may return to the assembly line.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ explained the large discounts on the Lada Vesta with CVT.
