Rostelecom has completed the transfer to commercial operation of the first 20 base stations (BS) of GSM/LTE-1800 standards, developed by the company "Bulat".
The tests were conducted in the Nizhny Novgorod region and confirmed the equipment's readiness for use on the network of commercial mobile operators.
The BS operate using MOCN technology, which allows several operators to jointly use the radio access network. Currently, they serve more than 4.5 thousand subscribers of the T2 network in small settlements.
The hardware part of the base stations was developed by the company "Bulat", the software – by LLC "New Telecom Solutions". Serial production began in December 2024. The equipment received the status of telecommunications equipment of Russian origin (TORP).
