Penza scientists have figured out how to speed up data transmission tenfold

An innovative algorithm will significantly increase the speed and reliability of data transmission over the network

Scientists from Penza State University (PSU) have developed an innovative method for high-speed lossless data transmission, which can be used in industry and the defense sector, including the production of drones.

The new technology will allow information to be transmitted many times faster, with almost no delays. This will significantly increase data processing speed, improve network administration and reduce traffic loss.

PSU has proposed an algorithm for early diagnosis of real-time traffic loss based on timeout control. This is especially important for voice communications, video conferencing and other types of online communication where delays are critical.

The developed algorithm defines the principles of interaction between the components of a switch - a network device that combines several computers into one network. Scientists have presented a hardware and software modification of the switch, proposing an innovative approach: data control and filtering now occurs at the input of the device, which was not previously used.

The development has a wide range of applications: from industry to the military sector and the civilian sphere. The introduction of technology into the control system of unmanned aerial vehicles will improve the quality of communication between the operator and the device, and make the transmission of commands more reliable and resistant to external interference.
