Construction of "Murmansk LNG" to be completed by 2030

The capacity of the natural gas liquefaction plant will exceed 20 million tons per year

"Novatek" will complete the construction of "Murmansk LNG" by 2030. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak during a speech in the Federation Council.

We currently plan to construct the plant around 2030, and the corresponding infrastructure will also be built by that time.

The "Murmansk LNG" complex with a terminal for shipping liquefied natural gas is planned to be built on the water area of the Kola Bay in the rural settlement of Mezhdurechye in the Murmansk region.

According to the territorial planning scheme of Russia, the plant's capacity will be 20.4 million tons per year. It will consist of three lines of 6.8 million tons each. The first is planned to be built in 2027, the second in 2029. The deadlines for the third line have not been announced.
