Crews of the "Bastion" coastal defense missile system (CDMS) of the Baltic Fleet conducted electronic launches with "Onyx" anti-ship missiles at mock targets simulating a group of ships of a mock enemy. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Mobile launchers left the field camp and deployed in the specified area with pre-equipped positions. After performing electronic launches of "Onyx" missiles at mock enemy ships, the missile crews covertly changed their firing position.
"Bastion" is designed to protect the sea coast extending over 600 km and to engage surface ships of various classes.
