«Уральские авиалинии» почти завершили утилизацию Airbus A320, застрявшего в поле под Новосибирском

The remains of the aircraft will be removed by the end of February

Specialists from Ural Airlines have almost dismantled the Airbus A320 aircraft. It landed in a field near Novosibirsk in September 2023.

Dismantling the landing gear struts of the aircraft

As a result of the accident, the fuselage, wings, and tail of the aircraft were damaged. They will be disposed of. The aircraft was cut into pieces. It will be removed from the field by the end of February this year, unless, of course, the deadlines are revised. Initially, it was planned to dismantle the aircraft by December 2024, but this could not be done.

Some of the dismantled components of the aircraft, sent to Yekaterinburg, will be reused after a thorough assessment of their technical condition.

The aircraft, which was en route from Sochi to Omsk, made an emergency landing in a wheat field on September 12, 2023. This happened after one of the three hydraulic systems failed.
