From St. Petersburg to Krasnoyarsk: Dostoyevsky Tram Tested in Siberian Capital

A Rostec-developed tram has successfully completed testing and will soon be put into service

A modern tram in retro design, the 71-431R Dostoyevsky (manufactured at Uraltransmash plant, part of Rostec), has arrived in Krasnoyarsk. The tram has successfully passed testing and will be put into service in the near future.

The three-section low-floor Dostoyevsky tram was created for the historical center of St. Petersburg in the style of the Leningrad LM-57 tram, known as the "stylish one." A similar two-section Dovlatov tram was also developed for St. Petersburg. Both cars meet the most modern requirements.

The Dostoyevsky tram is equipped with active safety systems. These systems can independently make decisions about slowing down, stopping, and monitoring the driver's condition. The cars are equipped with transparent interactive window-screens with navigation and tourist information.

The trams meet the requirements of the "Accessible Environment" program, providing barrier-free movement for people with limited mobility, which makes them an important step towards improving urban infrastructure.

Earlier www1.ru reported that St. Petersburg will receive modern Dovlatov trams.
