The High-Precision Complexes holding (part of Rostec) shipped the first batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to the Russian army this year. This was reported in the company's press service.
The standard configuration of the new equipment includes modern means of protection that have proven themselves in real combat conditions. All equipment has undergone a full cycle of tests provided for by the technical documentation.
The holding's enterprise, specializing in the production of BMP-3, continues to operate in a special mode — six days a week, and around the clock in certain areas.
The holding added that the combat vehicles have proven themselves positively in battle. Engineers are constantly working on the characteristics and combat qualities of the vehicles, based on feedback and wishes from military personnel.
The BMP-3 is designed for both combined arms combat and special tasks. The vehicle has a powerful weapons system and is equipped with an automated fire control system.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that an underwater drone for clearing sea areas of mines has been developed in Russia.
