«Arktika» all-terrain buses to be produced at the Ural plant at the end of 2025

Buses can withstand temperatures down to minus 50°C

The Ural plant will launch the production of «Arktika» all-terrain buses (Ural-427701) at the end of 2025. This was reported in the company's press service.

Ural-427701

«Arktika» features a unified body. The interior of the all-terrain vehicle is designed for 21 passengers with a corresponding number of seats. Inside the bus, there are tables, luggage racks, and even a toilet. The all-terrain vehicle can withstand temperatures down to minus 50°C thanks to enhanced thermal insulation, double glazing, and two autonomous heaters.

The six-wheeled «Arktika» is based on modified axles from the Ural-4320 truck. The landing diameter of the wheels is 32 inches, and the ground clearance is 60 centimeters. This allows the bus to move through the most severe off-road conditions and temporary winter roads of the Far North.

Under the hood of the «Arktika» is a six-cylinder YaMZ-536 turbodiesel with a volume of 6.7 liters and a power of 310 hp. The gearbox is a nine-speed manual from the same manufacturer.

The preliminary price of the new product is from 20 million rubles. The plant plans to produce up to 350 such buses annually. The closest competitor to the model will be the KamAZ-6250, which began production in the spring of last year.
