The Russian military has received the Sarych-2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The drone is designed according to the "flying wing" scheme and is intended for reconnaissance units.
The Sarych-2 is equipped with an HD camera with 60x zoom and a thermal imager. Using special software, the drone processes the incoming data, identifying military equipment at a distance of up to 2.5 km, tracking it and transmitting the target coordinates to the operator.
In addition, the Sarych-2 is equipped with an improved protection system against enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems and can independently return to its base in the absence of control signals.
The Sarych-2 UAV weighs 15 kg with a wingspan of 3.1 meters, it is capable of reaching a height of 5000 meters and a speed of almost 110 km/h. The drone is equipped with an electric motor, and a full charge of the onboard battery is enough for 2.5 hours of active operation.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Lancet kamikaze drone turned the American M1097 Avenger into a pile of metal, footage of objective control appeared.
