In 2024, agricultural machinery manufacturers in Russia produced goods worth 237.1 billion rubles, which is 12.5% less than in 2023. This was reported by the Rosspetsmash association.
Equipment worth 198.4 billion rubles was shipped to the domestic market, which is 17.6% less than a year earlier. At the same time, manufacturers exported products worth 18 billion rubles, which is 5.3% more than in 2023.
According to Rosspetsmash, last year 4,571 grain harvesters and 321 forage harvesters, 4,295 agricultural tractors, and 2,441 plows came off the assembly line. The association believes that the situation will not change in 2025.
Experts and market representatives say that the decline in production is due to the high key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, insufficient government support, and low profitability of the agricultural sector.
