Power Machines has successfully completed preparations for the shipment of the GTE-170 gas turbine. It will be installed at Kashirskaya GRES in the Moscow region.
The turbine has passed all the necessary factory tests, including the key stage — rotor rotation. It meets the requirements of state and industry standards of Russia.
Power Machines will also manufacture and supply two combined cycle gas turbine units. The company will provide supervision and commissioning services. The new power units will be commissioned in 2027.
The industrial operation of units based on GTE-170 is a significant step in the development of domestic gas turbine technology. Similar turbines used to be imported from abroad. Now, the technological sovereignty of the Russian energy sector is ensured.
Power Machines organized the serial production of gas turbines with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The total investment in the project is 25 billion rubles, of which 6.9 billion rubles were allocated by the state for R&D.
