A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (TOF), consisting of corvettes of project 20380 "Rezkiy" and "Aldar Tsydenzhapov", as well as the sea tanker "Pechenga" went on a long voyage to perform tasks in the Asia-Pacific region (APR). This was reported by the press service of the Pacific Fleet.
The crews practiced the emergency preparation of ships for battle and voyage. When leaving the Golden Horn Bay into the Sea of Japan, the sailors conducted shipboard training of personnel to ensure air defense and readiness to repel an attack by unmanned boats of a mock enemy. In Peter the Great Bay, one of the corvettes took on board a Ka-27 naval aviation helicopter.
Corvettes "Rezkiy" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" will conduct a series of exercises in the Asia-Pacific region, including searching for and destroying submarines of a mock enemy and providing air defense at sea.
Project 20380 corvettes are designed to detect and destroy enemy submarines and surface ships, provide landing support, and also to solve a variety of tasks in the near sea zone.
The armament of corvettes of the 20380 series includes launchers of anti-ship missiles "Uran" or "Caliber-NK" (depending on the modification of the ship), artillery installations, an anti-aircraft missile system, grenade launchers, machine gun installations. They have anti-submarine and anti-torpedo protection.
