The crew of the corvette "Soobrazitelny" of project 20380 performed training artillery firing in the marine training ground of the Baltic Fleet. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Military sailors destroyed a mock floating mine with aimed fire from a 30-mm AK-630 artillery system. According to the exercise scenario, the firing was complicated by introductory information on radiation, chemical and biological hazards, fire in the compartments, and water ingress.
In addition to artillery firing, the corvette's crew practiced air defense tasks and conducted exercises to combat the ship's survivability while underway.
The basic armament of Project 20380 corvettes includes the Kalibr or Yakhont strike anti-ship complex, a 100-mm A-190 artillery gun, two Kashtan-M anti-aircraft missile and gun systems for anti-missile defense, and a Ka-27 deck helicopter.
