Kalashnikov Group Conducts Aerial Photography of Railway Infrastructure

Specialists from the "Quiet Wings" company used the "Alpha-E" drone to identify defects on the Oktyabrskaya Railway

The Kalashnikov Group carried out aerial photography of a section of railway infrastructure on the Oktyabrskaya Railway using the Alpha-E unmanned aerial vehicle. The work was performed by specialists from the Quiet Wings company, which is part of the group.

This aerial photography allows detecting defects on railway tracks. The system testing was successful over a thousand kilometers of the Baikal-Amur Mainline of Russian Railways.

Based on the work carried out, Quiet Wings specialists, together with Russian Railways, developed a draft regulation for monitoring railway infrastructure.

The Alpha-E vertical take-off drone is capable of taking off from any solid surface, including moving objects. The drone features compact dimensions. It is convenient to transport in a car. The flight altitude of the Alpha-E reaches 3000 meters, and the operating temperature range varies from -30 to +45°С.
