Shake, Don't Stir: Kataysk Pump Plant Manufactures Pumps for Pumping Explosives

The equipment is intended for one of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex

Kataysk Pump Plant is the first in Russia to manufacture pumps for pumping explosive and highly hazardous chemicals. The equipment is intended for one of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Russia.

The order for the production of the devices was received in May 2024. The process of developing and testing the equipment took seven months. In total, the plant manufactured 29 centrifugal and diaphragm pumps made of stainless, corrosion-resistant types of steel.

In the production of these pumps, the plant mastered technologies used in chemical engineering.
Anatoly Zuev, General Director of Kataysk Pump Plant

Diaphragm pumps are devices for pumping liquid or gaseous media under pressure. Centrifugal pumps are used for dispersing (grinding) liquid or gas by creating centrifugal force.
