Specialists of the company "Rosseti Yug" (part of the Rosseti Group) have connected the Bogdinskaya solar power plant (SPP) in the Astrakhan region to the electric networks. This was reported by the press service of the Group.
To create a scheme for issuing the SPP's capacity, the power engineers built overhead power lines and installed an emergency control system at four 110 kV substations.
The Astrakhan region is considered one of the sunniest regions in Russia (the average number of clear days is 200 per year). The Bogdinskaya SPP will increase the share of "green" generation in the region's energy balance.
About the Bogdinskaya SPP
The new SPP is one of the largest renewable energy (RES) facilities in the Astrakhan region. The power plant occupies an area of about 150 hectares. More than 178 thousand solar modules of domestic production are installed for electricity generation.
Since 2017, 12 SPPs with a total capacity of 285 MW and 5 wind power plants with a total capacity of 340.2 MW have been built and launched in the Astrakhan region.
