In Belarus, a modification of the Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) with the index 9A33-2B on a modern commercial MAZ-6317 chassis with a maximum speed of up to 100 km/h was presented.
The basic analog architecture of the fire control system has been redesigned into a digital one, said military expert Evgeny Damantsev, but the exact technical details are not yet known.
According to him, the probability of hitting a target such as a fourth-generation fighter is 0.5–0.85%, a low-speed kamikaze drone is 0.95%, and a low-observable tactical cruise missile such as SCALP-EG is about 0.45–0.65%.
The detection range of SCALP-EG with normal visibility using the new thermal imaging complex is from 6.5 to 8 km, targets such as "fighter" - up to 25 km.
The analyst clarified that among the shortcomings of the complex is the fire reaction time of up to 26 seconds, as well as one target channel.
Tactical and technical characteristics of the Osa-AKM SAM system:
- Crew — 4 people
- Combat vehicle weight — 17.5 t
- Destruction zone in range — 10.3 km, in height — 5 km
- Speed of targets hit — up to 500 m/s
- Deployment time — 3 min
- Fuel range — 500 km
