«Россети» хотят координировать размещение майнинг-центров для оптимизации энергоресурсов

Майнинг-центры в России могут появиться в регионах с низким потреблением электроэнергии

"Rosseti" intends to take responsibility for the placement of mining centers in various regions of Russia. The initiative will help to use unused electric grid capacities in those subjects, where reduced energy consumption is observed.

Rosseti proposes to introduce a special tariff for idle power centers. Large miners consider this idea discriminatory, and analysts are sure that the powers of infrastructure organizations should be limited to the necessary technological interaction with consumers.

According to the head of Rosseti, Andrey Ryumin, the company has data on free electric grid capacities, as it operates in almost all regions of the country. The issue of coordinating the placement of mining centers has already been sent to the Ministry of Energy for further consideration.

Previously, there were no strict restrictions on the placement of mining centers in Russia. Miners chose locations depending on tariffs and energy availability. This led to a shortage of electricity in a number of regions. Because of this, the government from January 1 banned mining in Irkutsk Oblast and Trans-Baikal Territory, as well as in a number of other regions.

At the same time, Rosseti is recording a decrease in energy consumption in certain regions of the country. This creates an opportunity to use free capacities, for example, in the Tyumen region.
