Водители массово получают штрафы за нарушения ПДД по расценкам 2024 года

Experts Explained Why Russians Are Receiving Fines at Old Rates

Drivers have started massively receiving fines for traffic violations at 2024 rates. A 50% discount is offered upon payment. It turned out that there is no mistake in this.

From January 1, 2025, fines for a number of traffic violations increased by 50%. The discount on their payment has been reduced to 25%. Some drivers who received fines in January were surprised to see last year's prices.

A driver named Vyacheslav was fined for speeding on the M-5 "Ural" highway. The fine amounted to 1,000 rubles, although from the beginning of 2025 this fine should have been 1,500 rubles. Instead of a new 25% discount, he was offered 50% for timely payment. It turned out that the violation was recorded on December 30, 2024, when the old rates were still in effect.

Experts emphasize that fines should be issued at the rates in effect at the time of the violation. Otherwise, such decisions can be challenged.

It is important to remember that the revision of fines affected most violations, but not all. For example, speeding fines now range from 750 to 7,500 rubles, and drunk driving fines are up to 45 thousand rubles and deprivation of rights for up to 2 years.
