The Moscow authorities have begun testing the automatic online top-up activation function for "Troyka" cards and "Moskvich Card" on buses and electric buses.
According to Deputy Mayor in the Moscow Government Maxim Liksutov, this function is already operating in test mode on some validators. Public transport passengers can pay for their travel and simultaneously record a ticket purchased online on the card without having to press the validator button, although this option is still available.
We continue to develop the Moscow ticketing system on behalf of Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. This year, we plan to launch this service on all 25 thousand validators of buses and electric buses.
Last year, remote top-up activation for "Troyka" and "Moskvich Card" was introduced on all turnstiles of the metro, MCC and tram validators. This has become one of the most anticipated improvements in the capital's ticket system.
For the convenience of users, we recommend replenishing "Troyka" and "Moskvich Card" through the "Moscow Metro" application, available on Google Play, App Store, AppGallery and RuStore.
