Russian engineers have developed a pre-production model of the "Sokol" interceptor drone. The UAV hunter is equipped with artificial intelligence and a net launcher. The drone is designed to neutralize reconnaissance and strike drones of the "Baba Yaga" type.
The "KPB Polyot" reported that the device can also be used for reconnaissance, but its main task is to disable large strike drones.
The drone will receive target designations from the detection system about the location of an enemy drone at a certain point, then the "Sokol" with a net launcher automatically, without operator intervention, flies out, engages the target, and returns back.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Kasatka relay drones were developed in Russia, they pretend to be Geraniums on air defense system radars.
