"Large ships are a target for missiles": Is the future of the Russian Navy with a "mosquito" fleet?

Kovalchuk: a mosquito fleet would have advantages for the Russian Federation over large ships

A mosquito fleet has significant advantages over large ships in terms of high maneuverability and therefore low vulnerability. This opinion was expressed by the head of the scientific and expert council of the Maritime Collegium, President of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" Mikhail Kovalchuk.

Today, with hypersonic speeds, with new missiles, in a new form of weaponry, any large ships are simply a target. But imagine if we move from that to a mosquito fleet?

A former military pilot, author of the Telegram channel Fighterbomber, also noted that the strategy of forming a mosquito fleet completely outweighed the idea of a large fleet in the Black Sea.

Chris Osborne, President of the American Center for Military Modernization Warrior Maven, added that the huge size of the Russian nuclear cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" will become its disadvantage, as it is clearly visible to radars.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian military will receive "Courier" ground robots.
