A new electronic warfare (EW) system called "Bagatur" has been developed for the Russian military, capable of suppressing the entire frequency spectrum used by drones. The advantages of the system were described by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Buryatia, Ivan Alkheev.
The device lineup includes the stationary installation "Bagatur-1", the "Bagatur-2" complex for protecting equipment, and the "Bagatur-3" carried in a backpack, which is used by infantry.
They suppress the entire frequency spectrum on which the enemy's UAV operates. To be more precise: the widest possible. It suppresses everything that operates on radio frequencies.
At the same time, Alkheev noted that "Bagatur" cannot jam "Baba Yaga" drones that use satellite communications. Such devices are shot down by soldiers with small arms fire and air defense systems.
